In 1966, Dr. E. Berry Hey Jr. founded Cardiology Associates with a distinct philosophy in mind: high-level patient care and compassion. Already an accomplished leader in the field of heart care as the first Berks County Board Certified cardiologist trained in cardiac catheterization, Dr. Hey was immersed in patient care protocol developing the staff training program for what eventually became the cardiac wing at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Today, our growing team of physicians and staff embody this passion and vision and remember, as Dr. Hey so wisely noted, to keep the individual at the heart of the practice through superior cardiac and patient care.
We are informed, diverse and highly trained leaders in cardiovascular medicine. Our 19 physicians are board certified and fellowship trained. We provide a full range of services for all sub-specialties of cardiology, supported by more than 80 employees. In addition to our high education and training standards, we continually evaluate our patient care model.
Our physicians provide coverage at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center and serve leadership roles at the hospital and within community health organizations such as the Berks County Medical Society. We are pleased to share our knowledge with the community, and continue to be a visible presence within community education programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
